English:Ocean Park

This Monday, I went to the Ocean Park with my parents. This was my third time to go since 2000. There was a lot of renovation. I liked Amazing Amazon and Jellyfish Stadium the best as the animals and the jellyfish were all very lovely! I also went to Kids' World, Marine Land, Headland Rides, Adventure Land and Bird Paradise. The Ocean Park gave me a fresh and new feeling which was better than the Disneyland. I think I will go to the Ocean Park again as there are a lot of funny games. I want to play more!

薑的妙用

自小時常聽到祖母吩咐媽媽說：「無論炒菜、煲湯又或是煲糖水，一定要用薑來烹調啊！」在我而言，我只知道薑可以「驅風」，卻不知道薑原來可以用來治理癌症！

最近，美國麥芝根大學發表的研究報告證實，薑可以殺死在卵巢內的癌細胞，令癌細胞自毀及自體吞噬而死亡，這樣便可以大大減低患者復發的機會率。

希望這種藥可以快些通過臨床驗證，癌症病人便不用那麼辛苦了！

參觀香港醫學博物館

上週六，爸爸和媽媽帶我到香港醫學博物館參觀。

成立於一九九六年的 香港醫學博物館，前身是於一九零六年落成的舊病理學院，現已成為法定古蹟。這是一所富有特色的專題博物館，全面介紹了香港醫科學術的發展歷史。博物館展品除了詳細介紹昔日疾病被撲滅的情況外，還介紹了目前的發展情況，以至醫學未來的挑戰，這無疑是增進了社會人士對健康和疾病的認識。

此外，博物館亦透過展覽形式來探討有關中西醫學交流和提倡這方面的研究。它除了是保存著有歷史價值的醫學文物外，更為公眾提供教育的服務。

經過這次的參觀後，我更加肯定自己將來希望成為醫生的志願，我一定會朝著這方向努力的！

English:Avian Flu

Avian Flu has been a serious problem all around the world. I think observing good personal and food hygiene is a good prevention. Here are some of the points you may find useful:

1)Don't eat raw eggs;
2)Cook eggs and poultry thoroughly before eating;
3)Avoid touching birds or poultry;
4)Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water immediately after contacting with birds or poultry;
5)Wear a mask and consult a doctor at once if having initial symptoms of flu.
